It has been a great summer! We have made much progress on Breaking the Silence. We are on schedule to complete this film project by February of 2015. I have really enjoyed meeting and spending time with many former Amish as we were interviewing them this summer. Peter has seen so many Amish buggies and heard so much Amish singing- as well as watched us edit – that whenever he sees the logo for Breaking the Silence he will break into a bit of Gregorian chant, “HooHOOooao”! It is very cute.
Get a sneak peek at some of our footage! Watch the project update video:
In a few weeks we will be flying out to film at original Anabaptist locations in Switzerland and surrounding areas. After that, all we will have left to do is lots of editing on the project. Visual editing, audio engineering, and music composition. All the things that test the endurance of the film maker!
We are now accepting donations!
A large part of this project has been funded by investors, but many of our friends have asked if they could donate to the project in some way. We are excited to announce that we have partnered with our friends over at Imaginative Art Ministries, a 501c3 non-profit organization which my friend Nathan Ashton heads up. This provides a way for our friends to make tax deductible donations to help us finish the film. If you want to Donate you can do so by clicking on the link at the upper right corner of the site.
I would write a longer update, but I’ve got some editing to do!
